Locked-In Syndrome

Enclosed is an interactive art installation developed with Emergence, a multidisciplinary TU Delft Dream Team, to explore the lived experience of locked-in syndrome. The project addresses the fragility of communication by focusing on themes of connection, isolation, and the fundamental human need for expression. Serving as lead concept designer, I guided the team and managed the overall creative direction. The spatial design was driven by conceptual sketches investigating how optical limitations and lowered perspectives can effectively simulate the depersonalized, fragmentary experience of a bed-ridden patient.
